Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are gearing up for a history-making trilogy bout at New York’s famed Madison Square Garden on July 11. Not only do Taylor’s undisputed super lightweight titles hang in the balance, but the fight itself will top an all-women’s boxing card – a first for The Garden. Organized by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, the event will stream live on Netflix, adding even more star power and accessibility.
The two warriors have already delivered memorable clashes. Their inaugural April 2022 battle marked the first time women headlined at MSG, with Taylor narrowly winning by split decision in front of a sold-out crowd. The rematch in November 2024 was chief support on the Paul-Mike Tyson pay-per-view and ended in a disputed unanimous decision for Taylor. Despite the controversies, both fights broke viewing records, shining a massive spotlight on the women’s game.

For Taylor, 38, it’s another chance to assert her dominance after avenging a 2023 defeat to Chantelle Cameron and outpointing Serrano last year. Meanwhile, Puerto Rican icon Serrano, 36, is hungry to finally notch a victory in the trilogy following two razor-thin losses. Though she pushed for 12 three-minute rounds (a men’s championship standard), negotiations settled on the familiar 10 two-minute format again.
Promoters Nick Khan, Nakisa Bidarian, and Jake Paul are quick to point out that this unprecedented all-women’s show is a testament to how far women’s boxing has come. With two of the sport’s greatest female fighters headlining in the world’s most famous arena on a massive streaming platform, July 11 promises yet another unforgettable chapter in the Taylor-Serrano rivalry.
