Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions have just announced that India's number one boxer, Neeraj Goyat, will make his MVP debut against Brazil's multi-talented superstar Whindersson Nunes The six-round super middleweight bout will be part of the global event headlined by Jake vs. Mike Tyson and Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
This card is set to be one of the biggest boxing events in history, streamed live globally on Netflix.
Goyat, bom in Begampur, India, has an impressive amateur and professional career, including being a three-time WBC Asia title holder. He will face Nunes, a Brazilian social media superstar and boxer, who has fought some notable opponents. Goyat's rise to prominence included a viral social media campaign and a face-off with Jake Paul, culminating in his signing with MVP.
Goyat expressed his excitement about the event:
I'm not just fighting for myself; I'm fighting to make history and make my country proud.*
Meanwhile, Nunes, who has a massive social media following, is preparing diligently for the bout, training with Olympic medalist Esquiva Falcao and promising his best performance yet.
The event also features a 10-round lightweight battle between MVP's young phenom H2O Sylve and top prospect Floyd "Kid Austin" Schofield as well as a 190 lb. cruisenweight bout between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and UFC star Darren Till.
