Hometown favorite Vergil Ortiz Jr. returned to the ring to defend his WBC Interim super welterweight title against former contender Erickson Lubin, and here are the results:
In the main event, Vergil Ortiz Jr. overwhelmed Erickson Lubin in just two rounds. Lubin began the fight well, using his jab and long reach to control distance early, but Ortiz quickly adjusted. By the second round, the Texan closed the gap, backing Lubin to the ropes and unloading a furious combination that forced referee James Green to wave the fight off at 1:30 of the round. With the win, Ortiz retained his title and extended his knockout streak, remaining one of the sport’s most dangerous punchers.

In the co-feature, Darius “DFG” Fulghum and David “Dynamite” Stevens battled to a majority draw over 10 rounds in a scrappy super middleweight contest for the vacant WBA Continental North America title. Both men had moments, but frequent clinching drew boos from the Fort Worth crowd. The judges scored it 96-94 for Fulghum and 95-95 twice.
Elsewhere on the card, Robin Safar claimed the vacant WBA Continental Americas cruiserweight title with a dominant unanimous decision win over Derick Miller Jr., scoring 98-91, 99-90, and 99-90. Amari “The Reaper” Jones continued his rise with a third-round stoppage of Shady Gamhour, while Eric “Cowboy” Priest and Esneiker Correa fought to an eight-round split draw in middleweight action.
In heavyweight competition, Joshua Edwards impressed once again, forcing Zeno “The Viking Hammer” Vooris’s corner to stop the fight in the third round due to multiple cuts. Rounding out the night, Javier Meza earned a hard-fought decision over Joshua Briones, and Samuel Castellanos stopped Ricky Elizalde in the second round.
